Well coming from Utica, New York to Houston, Texas. It was hard especially when I started playing Basketball. Nobody believed in me everyone thought I was below them. So they threw me to the side, with that chip on my back I told myself I have to prove them wrong. Now most would assume at this point you create a dream to make Varsity to improve your skills. But as former NBA player Dee Brown once said at a camp "A Dream is (Wish) that you want... But a Vision is something you know you can see yourself doing because you have a plan". And... I did have a plan. I didn't just see myself making Varsity I saw myself making it and getting MVP being that player that everyone looks up too. Because he had a plan and is carrying it through by practicing everyday mentally and physically. Now even though I was working I wasn't getting noticed because I wasn't "ranked" and it really bugged me because I didn't have the money to go these showcases to expose myself. But through it all I knew that if I loved the game and loved every court I played on, every Basketball I touch. That the game would love me back. With that being said, my goal is to be the best person I can become using Basketball because I believe Basketball is like life. You need patience, control, balance, dedication, discipline, but most of all pride because I believe nothing stops you but yourself if you choose to.
