Nate Crain '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nate Crain.  I am an honor student who values both academics and athletics.  I am wanting to find a college/university to join their basketball program.  I hope to find a college where I can compete for significant playing time.  I have a very solid overall game including ball handling, passing, 3-point shooting, driving, mid range shooting, driving/slashing, rebounding and defending. 

I have been on the varsity team since my sophomore year and last year made the all-district team as honorable mention.  This season, as a senior, I am the team captain of our 5A school in Texas.   I'm playing a mix of point guard and shooting guard.  I've already had multiple games with more than 20 points, am leading my team in 3-point shooting, free throw percentage, and effective shooting percentage.  I'm also in the top 2 on the team in points per game, assists per game and steals per game, and am leading the team in plus-minus rating.

Away from basketball and academics, I am an avid snow skier/snow boarder, and am active in my church's youth group.  I have also previously taken a mission trip to Haiti.

I'm undecided what I want to major in during college, but I would like to become a basketball coach at either the college or high school level.
