Jonah Fischer '21 Recruiting Profile

I started playing ball as a 5 year old, wanting to be like my older brothers. In the last couple years, after playing high school ball and watching hundreds of college games, I've realized that could be me. The hours in the gym have paid off and I was voted district freshman player of the year and as a sophomore I was recognized as first team all-district. As I complete my junior year I was named district MVP and All Region.  I am a shooter and take that role seriously, getting to the school gym at 6am to get reps in and often staying after practice. Academically, I was ranked #1 at the end of 8th grade, and have remained at the top of my class as I complete my junior year in high school. My goal is to be valedictorian.  My parents have installed in me and my four siblings an attitude to give oneself fully, whatever the task.  I believe that is what you would hear from my coaches, that I give all I have, every practice, every game. I love the game and have a good understanding of it! My coaches expect me to be the leader on the court, and I am embracing that role and growing in it.  Personal character is awkward to evaluate, but I hope it would be said of me, that I am genuine, teachable and have a work ethic that exceeds expectation.
