Jeremiah Carlson '17 Recruiting Profile

I am 18 years old and have loved sports since I was old enough to walk.  I am the 5th born son and child in my family of six children.  I have one younger sister.  My high school coach is a repeated Texas State Title Championship winner and has coached me for the past 5 years.  He has instilled in me a love of the game not only on the court but off.  He has taught me integrity, dedication and an understanding to one of the greatest games; basketball.  I love playing the game and the older I get, the more fun I have.  I have a great foundation because of my incredible coach and a great tenacity because of my older brothers.  I would love to play college ball as I have worked hard to improve my game, my skills, my fundamentals and my overall athleticism.  I work hard at my grades and am a B student, I am a skilled pianist playing classical, pop, jazz and modern music. I have had a summer job for the past 3 years as a guard and later as head-guard at our local city park pool.  I have competitive swimming times, have won several medals and participated as a National Swimmer for the past 10 years.  I teach swim lessons to young children and water aerobics to older adults.  I volunteer with my youth group helping kids at Vacation Bible School and other youth activities and I participate in my Community College campus youth groups.  I believe in hard work and dedication and that basketball is a team sport.  I work hard to be the best player I can be and I also try to make my team-mates look good.  I would love to talk to you about a future as an athlete on your team.  Thank you! - Jeremiah Carlson
