Hi there! My name is Yash Hooda a student-athlete at Austin High School and I love Basketball! I started playing Basketball when I was in 3rd grade growing up in South Florida in the Miami Heat era and I have been balling ever since until 9th Grade. I quit Basketball back in 9th grade due to injury and bullying that I decided to take up cross country and track running until end of 11th grade. I came back to play Basketball because I was determined to make the impossible possible and I knew that I can get back on the court with some great capabilities thanks to my ball handling, dribbling, passing, and 3-point skills. I want to compete for any college and make the school proud. My family and I are from India even though I was born in Englewood, CO. I was brought up and raised in South Florida for almost 9 years and I called the city of Plantation home for the longest time in my life before moving to Kansas City for 3 years and eventually Houston where I spent 8th grade and all of my high school years. I am vegetarian naturally but I sometimes go vegan as a preference to test my Basketball performance. My favorite Basketball player is Stephen Curry because of his shooting skills and his character. After earning bachelors degree, I will take the "actuarial exam" to become an actuary because I love math just as I love Basketball! I love to play Basketball and eat a lot and hangout with my friends but I always know that “education” comes first.
