Damian Adams '19 Recruiting Profile

I am Damian Adams, a sophomore at Oklahoma Wesleyan University.  I received both academic and athletic scholarships to attend Oklahoma Wesleyan University.   I played on JV basketball team in 2019 -2020 freshman year, averaging 14 points a game.  The 2020-2021 year has been primarily a training year due to the continuous  covid-19 quarantines.  

I attended high school at  Fort Bend Christian Academy in Sugar Land, TX. I play football and basketball for FBCA. Freshman year I was a starter and key contributor on JV and Varsity basketball team. As a sophomore, I was a core player on the varsity basketball team as one of the top offensive and strong defensive players. While max prep stats are not 100% accurate, I performed at or above national averages in points, steals, and assists. I was awarded FBCA Soaring Athlete 2016-2017. I made First Team All District TAPPS 5A in 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 Seasons. I was Team Captain and Most Value Player for FBCA 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 Seasons.

In addition, I enjoy giving back to the community and playing in the school symphonic and pep bands. As a member of a small symphonic band playing all instruments within the percussion section, we won NCAA D1 and NCAA D2 Excellence Awards (evening completed at Festival Disney Competition this year). Traveled aboard to Jamaica for a mission trip assisting death students and adults as an American Sign Language student of FBCA. Traveled to Puerto Rio after hurricane Maria in March 2018 to volunteer working at a children's shelter.

My summers were filled with learning, fun, and competition playing the game I love, basketball. I have enjoyed playing at the 17u level under Coach Bailey for three years, the All 4 Sports Dream Team. I am learning so much and pushing myself to achieve at higher levels each day. I love the game and desire to continue to play at the collegiate level while pursuing my academic goals.
