Dalan Smith '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Dalan Smith and I have loved basketball from a very young age. I  started my career at the age of seven years old. Being the shortest guy on the court at 5'4 I have always known that my work ethic was going to have to be better than everyone else. I take pride in being a leader on and off the court. The strongest assets in my eyes would have to be my outstanding ball-handling and my willingness to give it everything I have on the court at all times. I have been recognized by several other opposing teams/coaches for my tenacious defense being able to guard anyone no matter the size. My collegiate goal is to make a strong impact on the people around me and my aspiration after college is to pursue being a coach at the college level. What makes me different from everyone else is my likable personality along with my determination to be successful not just on the court but in the classroom as well. I am ranked top 10% in my class with a 3.8 GPA while taking several college courses. My biggest achievements so far would be receiving Academic All-District along with 2nd Team All-District as a junior. What I am searching for is a great academic program as well as keeping my options open to all levels of basketball.
