Personal Statement
Basketball has always been a huge part of my life. I've been in the gym with a ball in my hands since I could walk. My mother played College ball, and was a High School Varsity Basketball coach for 7 years, so I spent every night in the gym dribbling and shooting. My parents have always supported and pushed me to fulfill my dream of playing college basketball, and hopefully I'm well on my way to making that happen.
I'm from a small town in Utah, and raised a country boy. I love to hunt, fish, ride horses and go on pack trips in the High Uinta's. I also love to work on my grandpa's farm during the summer. I've always had a passion for animals and wildlife, that is why I am working toward a major in Wildlife Management. My goal is to graduate high school with as many college credits as possible.
Basketball has taught me how to be a leader, both on and off the court. From the time I was in 3rd grade playing on my schools traveling teams, I was always one of the team captains. It is a lot of pressure when your teammates look to you to carry the team in every aspect of the game, but also an honor. Now that I'm a Freshman starting Varsity I still feel a lot of that pressure, just from a different direction. I'm the one that has to prove I have what it takes to be out there on the floor now.
