Dear Coach, One of my goals is to play sports beyond High School at the college level. Even though I'm only a freshmen I've already been playing competitive sports for 8 years and am working hard to meet this goal in the classroom as well as on the field/court and weight room.
I love playing football, basketball, and baseball. I start in all 3 sports and have had the honor of being selected on all-star teams for each. I love competing, challenging myself and working with my teammates to be the very best. I know at some point I will need to focus on one or two sports to be able to compete at the highest level but right now I love all three so much and do well with each of them so it would be hard to give one up. I know that playing sports is a privilege and that performance in the classroom is most important as it prepares me for what I will be doing in life.
We just finished up a great year on the Freshmen team at American Fork High School. We ended with a 22-1 record. We avenged our only loss early in the year by defeating the team that beat us in the championship game. I attribute our success to continually working hard all year as a team, unselfish passing on offense and playing tough defense.
