Dear Coach,

Originally from Australia I have been playing basketball at club level competitively since I was six years old and at a representative elite level since eight. I am determined to continue with higher education and obtain a college degree.  I am also passionate about basketball and highly motivated to develop my game and be part of a team in the American College system.  I relocated to the US from Australia in August 2023 and played in the Philadelphia Catholic League for Conwell Egan Catholic High School as Co-Captain in the Varsity team. In my first year in the highly regarded PCL in PA, I was top 3 for rebounds and assists and a top 20 scorer. I played AAU in the UAA circuit for Philly Pride's National team.

Throughout my childhood I have played multiple sports and competed at a state level (top 20 players in the state). I have been selected numerous times to represent the highly regarded Australian Victoria Metro team at invite only national talent identification camps and competitions including, Southern Cross Challenge, Country and Metro Challenge and the Victorian State Combine. I was previously part of the State Development Program for talented athletes, which has gone on to develop National representative players. At the club level throughout my childhood, I won MVP awards in nearly every year and in a high percentage of the teams I played in. I am also an elite level athlete having represented my high school in the state, district and regional school championships and winning gold in the 4x100m relay race.

I am 18 years old and have always played in teams as an underaged player against older athletes and played at the highest level in the state - Victorian Championship. Additionally, I was selected out of my age group to represent my high school varsity basketball team at the age of 13, elevated to play predominantly with and against older athletes that were in Year 12 (17/18 year old players) as a Year 9 and in my most recent season was Co-captain and one of only 3 athletes in the school's history to have been selected to play in the all state team for the league (APS) and was awarded MVP. Over the years I have been awarded MVP in every club team I have played for and at representative level on several occasions. 

I am a primary PG but can play SG or SF if necessary. My main strengths consist of elite playmaking/ball handling, finishing and vision on the court, allowing my teammates to always be involved and get better.  I am a leader and have a high basketball IQ.  My passing and ball handling skills allow me to have an immense impact on games and can control the tempo and make reads as the game develops. I have received reports from Victoria’s elite coaches in the state program that my ability to play in the open court either finishing or making the right pass is at an exceptional level. 

I am a 6'4 guard with a large wingspan and athleticism.  This provides me with versatility enabling me to guard point PGs, SG and SF, as I can outrun and beat players for the ball or ring and rebound. I can finish at the ring over taller defenders with ease, whilst also having the ability to make catch and shoot 3s at a high clip and off the dribble when needed. I am looking forward to the opportunity of furthering my development as an athlete whilst also receiving a high standard of education.
