Ozzie Smith '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ozden "Ozzie" Smith and I am a 2022 point guard and I attend Rowland Hall St. Marks in Salt Lake City, Utah.

I started playing basketball early at age 3 and love the game. It has taught me how to compete, overcome challenges and allowed me the opportunity to travel the world to play. Last summer I played with a team from Catalonia in a tournament in Cambrils, Spain.

My #1 goal is to play at the collegiate level. I want to use my basketball skills and academic capabilities to play at the highest level of basketball I can at a high level academic institution. A passion for sports is something that runs in my family. My grandfather played in the NFL, my dad played college baseball, and I will continue the tradition in my own way by playing college basketball.

Throughout my basketball career most opponents have discounted my skill because of my size. Because of this I am determined to prove them wrong and to work harder than any other player to continue to develop my game.

Outside of basketball I enjoy spending time with friends and family, watching college and professional sports, and visiting my grandfather in Florida.
