Matthew Carrara '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name is Matthew Carrara &  Basketball is my passion !

My goal here is to find a school that I can excel and succeed at both academically & athletically.  Academically, I'm still forging my way thru interests but I do enjoy history. As an athlete,  I am determined, focused and am looking forward to this recruiting process. I play year round and definitely have realized the importance of team sport. When I'm not playing for my high school Varsity team (BBA), you can find me at my AAU games which are mostly played in the Albany/Saratoga NY area .

I'm also very proud to partner/mentor our Varsity Unified Basketball team and I also volunteer with Vermont Special Olympics Basketball program. In this community, I share my skills and the love of the game with my classmates with special needs. I find this shared experience incredibly rewarding.

As to my character/confidence/sportsmanship/leadership qualities, I take pride in "knowing the game" and it shows in my performance. It's also reflected on how I interact "off ball/court"with my teammates and others. 

If you are looking for a committed, hardworking & dedicated team player ~ please stay tuned for updates & video as I head into my Senior season. Even with the disruptions/loss of seasons for school/aau caused by covid-19 pandemic over 16+months ~ I'm still in the game.
