I was first introduced to basketball when I was three years old, and I immediately fell in love with the game. I played on my first team when I was five, and ever since then I've had the goal to play basketball at the collegiate level and, ultimately, at the highest level I'm able to reach. I joined my first AAU team during the fourth grade, and as I grew older, I realized how many other kids had goals similar to me. Realizing this, I dedicated myself to constantly working on my game and skills, whether it be on the court or in the weight room.
One of the skills that I am continually working on is my jump shot, which I have developed into one of my biggest strengths, in addition to my ball handling ability and good (and always improving) basketball IQ,. I believe my two biggest strengths at this point are my passing ability and defense. I enjoy making those around me look better, and my team also counts on me to pick up my man full court and pressure opposing guards. Most importantly, however, I love to work and the process of improving.
Just as I push myself on the court, I also push myself in the classroom to be the best student I can be. As a junior, I'm taking three AP classes and one honors class, in addition to playing the upright bass in orchestra. To date, I have a 4.0 GPA and have receive all A's throughout high school. In college, I'm interested in majoring in business or sports management. I also have an interest after playing basketball to one day coach or train kids in order to help them reach their goals.
