I graduated highschool in 2012, but due to a fear of traveling and flying I put basketball on hold and received my associates degree and bachelor's degree. For my associates degree my GPA was a 3.794 and I ended up transferring to Odu, even though I wanted to attend William&Mary or an IVY league school such as Brown, Yale, or Harvard. But it was hard to transfer to those schools. When I applied to William&Mary I was placed on the waiting list because every applicant had a GPA of 3.6 or higher. In order to transfer from community College to William and Mary I needed a 3.6, and I had a 3.794 so I thought I had a great chance to get accepted. I was a Phi theta Kappa member and active on campus. I went to ODU and graduated with a 3.4 GPA. In my first year I was selected to Tau Sigma honors society for academic achievement among transfer students. I needed a 3.5 GPA or higher in my first semester to get accepted in. I earned a 3.5 GPA my first semester and finished my first year with a 3.6 GPA. My history classes were tough and I received A- and B+ grades in my 400 level history courses for my major, which brought me down to a 3.4 when I graduated. The average grade in my history courses, especially for non history majors was a D. I want to be positive and feel good about this, even though I wanted atleast a 3.7 to a 4.0. I worked very hard for what I received. For basketball I am getting older, but I am still young and in very good shape. I never used my eligibility to play ncaa sports and I want to know if I am still eligible to participate when I attend grad school? I am very passionate about the game of basketball and it would mean a lot to me if I could get my name out there and gain the interest of a college coach and make a roster. I want to coach basketball after I am done playing. I would love to contribute to the team's athletic and academic success.
