Personal Statement

I am Herman Jackson III (Trey) from Richmond Virginia and I attend Millwood School in Midlothian, VA. I am an Honors Student enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors classes.  My work ethic is what makes me stand out among recruits. Whether in the classroom or the basketball court, I am going to give it one hundred and ten percent. I am coachable and I have the desire to improve academically and athletically. My focus is to be a leader on the basketball court and in the community, helping others when given the opportunity. My goal in college is to study hard, learn and experience new things, so that I can apply what I have learned to better myself and the people around me. Personally, I aspire to be a role model for what is expected of a student athlete. Please view my video and complete profile at studentathleteworld.com.

ScoutsFocus Elite 80 Evaluation

Herman (Trey) Jackson III , a 5'10 2017 150 lb prospect of Millwood School (VA), is a solid player with potential. Herman (Trey) possesses superb size for position and the prospect has good length and good athleticism. Herman (Trey) reported a very good academic resume and proved to have a very good basketball IQ. The prospect displayed good shot selection in addition to being a good shooter with time and space. The prospect was evaluated as having a very good body type for the next level. The play er's strength was rated very good but should continue to develop with age and a regimented weight/conditioning program that includes push ups/jumping rope amongst other body weight and quickness drills. The player displayed a very good motor in addition to showing very good toughness. The 2017 prospect exemplified very good passing ability and superb ball handling skills. Finishing ability around the basket appeared to be very good and from an overall defensive standpoint the prospect is good. Defensively we would like to see continued improvement both on and off the ball in addition to always seeing ball and man. We would emphasize staying lower on both ends of the court. In addition, we would like you to continue learning how to play without the ball as most players only have the ball a max of 10% of the game (even less if you have ball stoppers on your team). We are excited to monitor this prospect's development in the future and would like to see continued improvement in all areas we rated as decent or good to fully maximize college potential. ScoutsFocus and our college coaching staff believes Herman (Trey) has scholarship potential with continued hard work and development both in the classroom and on the hardwood. Can play the 1. AAU Team: Team22. Attended ScoutsFocus Elite 80 FAIRFAX Camp on 9/17-18/2016.

Player Reported College Interest/Potential: Virginia Union Uni., Division I or II

*Rankings are a one camp judgement for most players that attended our events. They were done by active small college coaches and our NCAA certified scouting staff. They are in no way, shape or form a precise science. The rankings are used only as a guide for college coaches to evaluate players for their particular level. Players have been ranked high and not reached their potential and players have been ranked low and turned out exceptional (Steph Curry, Damien Lillard etc). We've been right a large portion of the time, but understand it's simply not possible to get every player 100% right based on a one or two day evaluations. A player's work ethic and heart is the most difficult thing for any scout to measure and are often times the factor for who makes it and who doesn't. Feel free to share this page with college coaches. Thanks!
