Steven Warren Jr '24 Recruiting Profile

Going into my Senior year of high school, this will be my 4th year as a starter on Varsity. As a multi-sport athlete, I not only have the talent to compete at a higher level, but I know I have the leadership skills, the work ethic, and the basketball knowledge to be a huge impact for any college program. My academic goals are to maintain a 3.80+ GPA, to experience leadership and volunteer opportunities, and to determine what major I feel called to study once in college.

A little about me; I’ve had many successful basketball seasons with championship and runner-up standings, as well as uneventful results. Both scenarios have taught me to be gracious, and the need to have a higher work ethic. I began dribbling and shooting as soon as I could walk, and impatiently waited for the opportunity to join a team at the age of 5. I haven’t put the ball down since. I made the Varsity basketball team my freshman year, as the only freshman on the team.

I stepped into the leader role at an early age, being named team captain every season since the 2^nd grade. During my middle school years, I played for an AAU program that’s known for delivering high-competitive teams, as well as participated on a high school c-team/JV team during the off season. Prior to 2018, I played with a school “feeder” team playing league games and in AAU tournaments. Having had this experience has given me a clear understanding that to be the best, you must train, study, and work hard in every aspect of your life.
