Hi my name is Jacob Wells and I’m a student athlete at Pullman High school in Pullman Washington. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to play college basketball it has always been my number 1 goal and I’ve been working toward that goal every single day. I’m a 3 sport athlete playing football, basketball and baseball. A little bit about myself, I don’t talk much, I’m very easy going and very coachable, I respect my coaches and teammates and will do anything the team needs me to do. I grew up in a small little town called Garfield and moved to Pullman right before my Freshman year. I was selected to be on the varsity my freshman year and learned so much about the game of basketball during my 3 years here at Pullman High. I’ve grown strong relationships with all of my coaches and I view them as great people and people I can go to talk to them about anything. I struggled a lot in academics my first two years at Pullman, I was going through a lot of family issues and coming from a small school like Garfield with around 20 kids in my graduating class and moving to Pullman was a huge change for me, I mean they’re are more kids in this school then in Garfield whole town. I’ve gotten better with academics and had a 3.0 my first semester of my junior year and my second semester it looks like I’m gonna end with a 3.1 GPA. I’m the type of kid who will do anything to win, I’ve always been super competitive and will do absolutely anything to help my team and my teammates get better. I’ve always had this drive to be better, I’m really never satisfied with anything and I want more. I was the GNL MVP in my league and was not selected all state which hurt but has push me to go even harder. This season our team had the chance to go to the State Tournament and win a title but sadly we lost our first game and was eliminated. That hurt me so much but I’ve used it as fuel to become even better so I make sure I never have that feeling again. My main goals in life is to get a college degree and to be known as a great person, I would like to major in sports management and minor is business and would love to become a college head coach in the future.
