I am a 6', 180lb incoming senior (2023) from Oregon, WI. I attend Edgewood of the Sacred Heart High School (EHS) in Madison, WI. I have played organized basketball since 1st grade. In 3rd grade I became a starting combo guard for club, middle school, and eventually high school ball. I played AAU ball for Dane County United (DCU, Madison, WI area) for Coach Jon Nedelcoff for 3 seasons where I started as a combination PG/SG. Due to the pandemic obstacles, our DCU team disbanded. In 2021 I played in the NY2LA Circuit for the 16U Wisconsin Dynasty and Coach Eddie Singleton, and continue with Dynasty 17U (2023) in 2022.
My philosophy as a ball player is to play hard in games, work harder in practice, and excel in more than just scoring. I pride myself that I led my Freshman, JV and AAU teams in rebounding, steals, assists and assist-to-turnover ratio, as well as effective field goal percentage each of the last 4 AAU seasons. I just finished my 11th grade varsity season at Edgewood where I was in a 9 man starting rotation. I am a multi-sport athlete at EHS where I am a 3-year starting All-Badger Conference mid-fielder and varsity letterman in soccer. I also was an athlete in the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association Olympic Development Program 16U team. I am a former USA Swimming Junior National top 10 finalist (12U, 2016) and Wisconsin Extreme Swimming Champion (10U, 2014). I also have become a PADI certified scuba diver. I gave up competitive swimming to play high school basketball as they are in the same high school seasons in Wisconsin. I have assisted in the making of youth basketball training videos with Coach Jon Nedelcoff since youth basketball the earliest of which has now received over 1 million views (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3ZQ7rK_Rzc). I attend Holy Mother of Consolation Church and have participated in Love Begins Here overnight camps in which I participated in community service and other random acts of kindness. I also enjoy fishing, camping, golfing, skiing, scuba diving and mountain biking in my free time with my parents and friends.
My goal is to play basketball at the collegiate level. I am looking for a school that will allow me to improve and compete as a student-athlete and provide a great education for my personal and future professional development. Academically, I have interest in majoring in a biological field, perhaps Marine Biology or in a Business related field such as Economics, Marketing or Journalism. I believe athletics is an essential part of becoming a well-rounded individual. Athletic opportunities provide inherent leadership, determination, and goal-oriented skills in athletes that I myself use not only in athletic competition but also in life. Participation in sports has and continues to have a big impact on my life. I was fortunate to go to a high school that provided full sports programs during the pandemic. The hardships of the pandemic have made me rethink my priorities in athletics and direction I want to pursue in life. As a student athlete, I have the ability and experiences in which sports provides to have my voice heard. On the court, field or in life, I strive to be a leader and not a follower. Athletics has given me the opportunity to learn and grow every day and to parlay that experience in life's progression. Above all, I want to become the individual that people look up to and revere for my actions, and not my words.
