I started diving in 9th grade. Prior to that I was a competitive gymnast for six years, winning multiple local, state and regional competitions. My freshman year of diving was challenging due to COVID, and most meets were virtual, making the sport hard to figure out. I joined a club team and worked hard, both during the high school season and the off-season. By my sophomore year I was winning most dual meets and placed 7th at the state meet. By my junior year I continued winning most of my dual meets, winning true team state, breaking a school record, and getting 4th at the state meet. I also started taking 3 meter and platform more seriously at club practices/meets. I’m hoping to have a great senior year of diving. I want to become more consistent, be a leader, and grow as a person. My goals for my senior season are to be undefeated in dual meets, break more pool records, compete at nationals, and become a state champion.
