Personal Statement

Hello. My name is Damien Baize. I just want to have fun while diving because I love the water and even more love jumping off diving boards and showing off. I want to study sharks and my biggest goal is to be on shark week to tag sharks and explore more ways to keep them safe as well as us humans. I enjoy streaming very much. I have not been diving for very long. No where near as long as the average college diver, but I am willing and wanting to commit to learning to be the best I can be given the short amount of training I've been given.

AwardsI got an award in my STEM class for building a oven out of recyclable materials, My senior year I will be taking a dual enrollment course of PVCC English 101, My first year diving (sophomore year) I qualified for states and came 22nd, My second year diving (junior year) I was named dive team captain and qualified for states again but could not get the required recordings in due to a spine injury (not major. Fully healed).
ActivitiesI have a plaque in Smithfield for being an honorary trail doctor, Around school I filmed/live streamed all the athletic games we had, I was second in command of supply for the whole student body.
