Luke Smallwood '27 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches, I am Luke Smallwood I‘m going into my Sophomore year at Carlsbad High School. I have been around golf since I was born. My father David Smallwood has been a superintendent his whole life due to this I have been blessed to be able to grow up and play at amazing courses. I grew at playing at Kapalua and now my Father is at the Omni La Costa which hosted and will continue to host the mens and womens ncaa national championships. My Stepdad is a different story he is from Scotland and also grew up playing golf. He came to the United States on a golf course scholarship to play at Midland College in Midland Texas. He has taught me everything I know about golf from some tweaks with my swing which I self taught but more importantly he taught what golf is all about. I have learned in the years of playing golf which I have been playing since I could walk. Golf has taught me how to be a honest man and that the score is not the only thing that matters. Golf has taught me all of my manners how to be polite and how to talk to people. All in all I am someone who works hard for a team and a coach and will not stop until the Job is done.
