Golf has been a game for me, but it's been much more than that, a journey of discipline, lots of learning, and growth. Since I’ve seen my father go to the range every week, I've been attracted to the game of golf, the challenge it brings, and the mental resilience that it requires for every 18-hole round. As opposed to most sports, golf is a battle against yourself for over four hours, compared to others where one is working with a team, and that is what encourages me to improve every day. My inspiration comes from watching some of the greatest players in the game, but more importantly, from my journey of progress. I have learned that success in golf is not about being perfect—it is about adjusting and maintaining confidence, even when I feel down or giving up. I have always abided by the saying "practice making perfection" and I truly believe in this mindset, knowing my time will come eventually, but only if I build trust in me.
Competing for college golf is my dream. I know I am capable of excelling, especially in a competitive environment where I can challenge myself, work with dedicated teammates, and continue to learn from both school and personal professional coaches. An opportunity to compete at the Division I level excites me because it reflects my desire to always strive to better myself and be part of something more significant than myself. I look forward to meeting the challenges of college golf, while still keeping academics and athletics in balance, hoping to make a difference on and off the field.
I know that college golf will push me to become better every day, and I’m eager to embrace the journey ahead.
