Personal Statement

Since I was 4 years old, I have been swinging a golf club with a bright smile. As I grew older, my passion for the game only grew. I was able to spread my love for the game with all my friends, pushing them to be the best golfers they could be and in return, they pushed me to be the best I could be. We all grew up together, competing with each other as well as motivating each other to be the greatest golfer we could be. This is what makes me a good candidate for the team. My passion and competitiveness allow me to push myself past my limits while pushing my teammates as well to help everyone succeed. My passion translates to everything I do including my academics, character, and athletics. Ever since I was young, I lived by the fact that academics come first because I learned that I needed to strengthen my mind before I could truly succeed in anything else. My collegiate aspiration is to become the spark plug a team may need to push everyone on the team to be better. I believe I can make an immediate impact on any team because I can motivate others through my own hard work and passion for the game.

Events

  • Camp/Event
  • Connecticut PGA Foundation Junior Open
  • 8/20/24 to 8/21/24
  • This was one of my most exciting tournaments because I came into the tournament knowing that I would have to win the tournament to win CTPGA player of the year. So I put my mind to it and knew what I had to do. The first day I shot one over par and I knew I had to step it up to win. Although day two started with a rain delay, I was still able to shoot one under par to seal the deal and win the tournament and CTPGA player of the year. Player of the year was always a very big goal of mine and to achieve it lit a bigger fire in me to play even better.
  • Camp/Event
  • Ryan Lee Memorial Junior Open
  • 8/06/24 to 8/06/24
  • This was one of my best tournaments to date. I shot 8 under par through rain and heavy winds. Once again, my putter and driver were hot allowing me to make 8 birdies and an eagle. I am very proud of this round because I was able to keep my mind straight after making a bogey on hole one. I was able to stay focused and end up with one of my best tournament rounds ever.
  • Camp/Event
  • Champions Tour Classic
  • 7/23/24 to 7/24/24
  • I won this tournament shooting 65,71. I putt very well on this course and my short game was on fire as I made many birdies which allowed me to win this tournament in the end. I also hit 30 greens and my driver was also hot. This was a great tournament for me and winning it allowed me to gain even more confidence to keep on winning throughout the season.
  • Camp/Event
  • Pequabuck Junior Classic
  • I was blessed to win this tournament after shooting 6 under bogey free. I played amazingly and did not miss at all this day. I had 22 putts and my short game was on fire. If I ever missed a green, it would be followed up with an easy up and down. My putting and shots inside 100 yards were dialed and were inside 7 feet every time.
  • Camp/Event
  • DeNicolo Memorial Junior Open
  • I won this tournament where I shot 2 under with 3 birdies. On this day, I was able to gain a lot of strokes off the tee and my iron game was strong. However, the greens were rolling slow which did not benefit me in the end but I sucked it up and finished out winning. I still had less than 30 putts and as always, my short game was very strong, especially around the greens. My scrambling was very good this day, even though I did not use it much, and helped me gain a stroke or two.
  • Camp/Event
  • Pequabuck Junior Classic
  • I won this tournament shooting one over. It was a normal day with not much action. I made a few mistakes which cost me 3 bogey, however, I was able to bring it back and I had 2 birdies from 2 amazing putts. My driver was hot and my chipping was amazing.
  • Camp/Event
  • Cas Coscina Jr. Invitational
  • I was able to squeeze out a top 10 finish where the rest of the top 10 finishers are now D1 or D1 recruited golfers. My putting was solid and so was my short game, but I put myself in tough positions with my driver.
  • Camp/Event
  • Golf Performance Center Junior Championship
  • In this AJGA I was able to shoot one over and I played great. I went into the course blind, without a practice round but a lot of researching of the course, which made the course a little more difficult than it had to be, but I was able to putt really well and drive the ball even better.
