Drew Bacchus '25 Recruiting Profile

Greetings,                       

My name is Gahrett Gaylord and I am the head golf coach at Tattnall Square Academy in Macon, Georgia. I am reaching out to introduce the top golfer in our program: Drew Bacchus. He is a rising senior who has been the #1 golfer in our program since his freshman year. Drew comes from a lineage of golfers, with his father being a state champion in high school and a star golfer at Lee University. From his freshman to junior years, Drew has had the lowest score on our team in every match except one, with multiple rounds under par. Looking ahead, I fully expect Drew to be our top golfer during his senior season. 

Outside of golf, Drew is a multi-sport star, playing football and basketball, and serves as a captain in both. His leadership makes him an asset in each program he has participated in. His desire is for the team to be successful and he is willing to do whatever it takes for that to happen. I am confident that Drew will be a leader in a college program, as he has shown that passion throughout high school.

In addition to athletics, Drew’s dedication to excellence begins in the classroom. This has translated into becoming one of the top scholars in his class and a member and leader of various organizations, including Beta Club and Student Council.

Forgive me for being informal, but Drew is a student-athlete who is going to make a college program better and will be a leader from day one. He is a guy that you do not want to miss.
