I started playing golf non-competitively at the age of 14, and recently started playing for my high-school team. I was playing baseball at the time and recently dropped that to pursue my golf career. I highly aspire to play at the college level, and at higher levels after college. I am very coach-able, I work as hard as I can, and I am a team leader. I Make sure my fellow teammates are doing what they need to do to be better not only on the course, but also in the classroom.
Academics is a very important aspect of life for me and I hold myself to a high standard. My current GPA is 3.6/4.0. I do my best to keep my GPA over 3.5/4.0.
I work as hard as possible and don't make team practice my only practice of the day. My favorite saying goes like this,"Anytime that I am not working hard, someone else is. And they will be ready to take my spot on the team." That saying motivates me to keep going no matter what kind of round I had in the past, nor what is coming in the future. I am ready to face my problems head-on and persevere through them.
I keep my fellow team-mates in line in the classroom and on the golf course. I make sure that they are not messing around on the range or on the practice green, because every time is a good time to learn. I also keep them in line in the classroom and out of trouble. I hold Christ and my faith as a high priority. I serve in my church every Sunday. I show the love of God to everyone who is willing to receive it.
I want to major in Sports Management, and one day (once my golf career is over) become a high-level coach. I want to attend a college that will give me an opportunity to, not only show what I can do, but also push me to do better and work harder.
