My passion for golf started when I was 7 years old and my dad would take me to the golf course to hangout with his weekend foursomes. Back then, they would let me putt and play a few holes. From then on, I was committed to getting better and to follow in my dad’s path and play collegiate golf.
I’m fortunate that I live on our local club and am able to practice often; which I do provided I’m not competing in a tournament. During the spring and summer, I play in 10-12 tournaments with the majority of the events on the Prep Tour. Currently, the strength of my game is my long and iron game, but I know to reach the next level I’m going to have to continue to work on my short game.
When I’m not at the course practicing or competing in tournaments, I enjoy swimming; hanging with friends and family; and playing xbox.
In the classroom, I take honors classes and study hard to maintain a high GPA. As of right now, I plan on pursuing a business degree, but I haven’t decided on what part of business that I will focus my studies.
This past high school golf season, as a sophomore, I became the silent leader of our golf team and earned the 2018 Golf Team MVP. I plan on using this honor as a springboard going forward.
I plan on attending a college that will match my passion for golf and provide me the academic opportunities I need to become successful in the working world.
