I started golfing with my grandpa when I was about 8 years old. It started out as something fun we could do together but then I realized I really enjoyed playing and decided to start playing competitively. I have been a member of both my middle school and high school golf teams, as well as played as an individual in several tournaments during the school off season.
I am currently a sophomore at Fulton High School and have played on the varsity team both years. We were conference champions both years and also advanced to the State tournament this past year. I attended the Fighting Illini Winter golf camp at the University of Illinois this past winter and will also attend the Nike Junior golf camp there this summer.
I work hard at my game and always strive to improve my scores. I take golf lessons and do workout routines to get bigger and stronger. I also look for ways to improve the mental aspect of the game by challenging myself in pressure situations, stay focused, and remain calm.
I would like to further my golf career at the collegiate level and am interested in pursuing a major in Golf Management. I am currently a sophomore in high school and maintain a 3.2 grade point average. I feel I am a very coachable athlete and use constructive criticism in a positive manner to improve my game.
