Personal Statement
My name is Faith Ottens. The most influential people in my life are my parents in both school and out of school. They always support me and have helped me become the person I am today. They taught me not to look for the faults I had that day but the good instead.
When I was in 2nd grade I was asked to fill in on a rec team, 5 games later I was headed to tryouts and began playing travel ball that fall. By playing softball I didn't only find my love for the game but I learned that I'm driven and a competitive individual.
My academic goals for high school is to maintain and graduate with a high GPA. My goals for college are to graduate with a BSN.
Some obstacles I've overcome to get where I am right now is myself. I have always been hard on myself, I learned that mistakes are going to happen but you can't let it effect the next test, project, or play. By overcoming this obstacle I've become more confident on and off the field.
I look forward to the opportunities that college will give me both academically and athletically. I believe that as a goal driven, competitive individual I would be an asset to your team!
