Due to much hard work, I competed at the varsity level since my freshman year. The hard work started paying off during my sophomore year as I started playing as the No. 1 golfer on our varsity team. I have experienced challenges by missing the state tournament by 1 stroke each of my freshman and sophomore seasons. As a junior, I advanced to the Illinois State Tournament, placing 28th. I expect my performance next year to improve with hard work and determination.
Through this experience, I have developed many leadership qualities to help my teammates get more out of their games. I have continued to grow and develop as a competitor. I also played baseball, basketball, and won the Illinois state fishing championship in 2019 as a sophomore. This competitive spirit gives me the drive to continue improving my golf skills. I recently started working with one of the best swing coaches in the country, Brian Fogt. My game is improving every day.
I am looking for a program that will be a good fit with my athletic abilities and allow me to receive a quality education. I know I have the talent to play golf in college. My character, work-ethic, and leadership skills will be an asset to any program I am a part of. As a multi-sport athlete and captain of my golf team, I am confident I can make a positive impact on your golf program.
