Peyton Danner '22 Recruiting Profile

I recently finished my senior golf season with a stroke average of 77.1. Current GHIN is 2.7. I picked up first golf club during my freshman year in high school. Home course is Kokopelli Golf Club in Marion, il. Links style course with Slope of 132 and 71.8 rating. As a sophomore had a scoring average of 92. My junior season I reduced scoring average to 82. I have played in multiple tournaments through SIGA Junior Golf and The Prep Tour in Illinois. I have won a couple of 18 hole tournaments this past summer. I currently work part time at Kokopelli and play on a daily basis. I have worked very hard over the past couple of years and have seen vast improvement over a short period of time. This past season incorporated weight training into my schedule and have seen vast improvements in distance. Have gone from 102mph driver swing speeds up to 112 mph. Also started taking lessons from The Golf Complex in Paducah, Ky in April of 2021. Swing Coach has taught several players on LPGA and Mini Tours. Current swing coach for LPGA player Emma Talley. Improvements to tempo and short game have resulted in some good scoring this year. Love the game of golf and would like to pursue the game at the next level. Play golf every day and am confident that my game has much room for improvement since I have only been playing a short time. I take pride in how hard I work and understand that is what it takes to be successful. Also know it sets a good example to teammates and leads to them also working harder. Makes the team better overall. Currently have a GPA of 3.2 and scheduled to take ACT in December. Golf has also impacted me as a student. Freshman year I had a GPA of 2.6. Since taking up the game of golf, my grades have been above 3.4 every quarter.  Below are some of the highlights from Summer and School Season Tournaments.
