Nathan Buchanan '25 Recruiting Profile

I’m entering my senior year at Fieldcrest Highschool in Minonk, Illinois. One of my biggest dreams I’ve always had is playing college golf and even trying to make it pro someday. This is my 4th year on varsity for the golf team at my school, and I didn’t have many accomplishments and success until my junior year. After working on my golf game all summer, I started placing in some decent sized tournaments in my area. I averaged low 80s and high 70s for the season, and made it to sectionals before falling short to make state. With this upcoming year being my last high school season, I’m hoping to bounce back and make my way to the state meet this year. But most importantly, I want the chance to continue playing golf, since my family cannot afford college for me. I have a love for the game, and a great work ethic to get better if I’m not at the collegiate level yet. However, it’s been a struggle for me to get recognition and be seen by colleges that could help me.
