Kia Ora Coaches, I am a 17 year old student from Hawkes Bay, New Zealand who is committed to making the most out of life and the opportunities available to me.

One of the things I want to achieve is obtaining a scholarship to a USA College that offers both outstanding development of its golfers and also great educational programmes. 

My passion for golf comes from my grandfather, who introduced me to the game shortly before he passed away. His love of golf and life, has motivated me to play golf to the highest level I can possibly achieve, along with being the best person I can be.

While I have played golf (I’m a left hander) for almost three years, I have only focused on it seriously for the last 18 months. During this time, I have gone from a 26 handicap down to a 4 handicap. This has come from countless days out on the course practicing and being coached. I get out to the course almost every day. From doing this I have fallen in love with the game, and the grind. I have developed an inner drive to be the best I possibly can be, and prove to myself what I can achieve if I give my all.

I would be a great candidate for your College because I am very coachable and know that every day is a learning experience that we must try to continually improve. I apply this to both my academic learning and my sports development. I love getting feedback from others, as I know how beneficial listening to a different perspective can be. 

In both the classroom and in my sports I am respectful of others, encouraging and lead by example. I am a team player and love making connections with others who share similar passions to me. I put 100% in to all that I do and my school grades and golf progress show this. In the classroom I study hard and dedicate time every day after school to study, once I've finished my golf training. 

Alongside my great academic grades and strong golf skills, I have also been fortunate to be selected to play in top grades for both soccer and cricket over many years.
