Ben Christy '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ben Christy from Johnston, Iowa. I am currently a sophomore at Iowa Central Community College and looking to continue my athletic and academic journey in a four-year program.

Through my first three semesters of college, I've not only learned a lot about myself but also grown as a person both on and off the golf course. In the summer of 2024, I decided to focus less on tournament play and more on taking a deep dive into the mental aspect of the game as well as improving my overall approach to life. During this period of reflection, I've recognized the importance of mindset, how to practice more effectively, and the value of creating resilient processes all while maintaining a positive outlook.

I am now more committed than ever to continuing my academic and athletic journey in a four-year program, where I can further sharpen my skills, deepen my knowledge, and compete at a high level. I will bring a determined work ethic, a passion for academics, and a strong sense of teamwork, both in the classroom and on the golf course. I am ready to embrace new challenges and contribute to a team in a meaningful way while continuing to grow as both a player and a person.
