John Deosaran '21 Recruiting Profile

I am looking for an opportunity to play golf for a program that will help me to continue my development as a player while preparing me for life beyond college.  Academics are important to me and I plan to major in business.

I have grown up as a multi-sport athlete, playing football, baseball, and basketball.  In addition to golf, I also play Varsity Basketball for my school.  While I appreciate the individual nature of golf, I know how to compete as a member of a team.  I am easy-going and get along well with others.  At the same time, my past coaches will tell you that I am comfortable taking on a leadership role and  I am not shy about pushing my teammates to be the best that they can be.

My broad background in sports and community service has prepared me to successfully tackle the various challenges that one encounters in any competitive round of golf.  I can follow a game-plan but I am not afraid to take risks.  I am not a glory-seeker, but I am not afraid of being in the spotlight.  I am a practice fanatic and have taken to heart the messages of my coaches who have preached that you practice as though it is game-day.
