My name is Brandon Petzak. I am 17 years old and have been playing competitive golf since I was five years old. I have many years of tournament experience under my belt. These experiences include match play, stroke play and Ryder Cup format. I have been a member of my high school's varsity golf team since my freshman year at Huron High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. As a Freshman I went to the MHSAA State Finals as an individual. I was named co-captain my junior year and captain for my upcoming senior year. I was named MHSAA All-State Boy's Golf Honorable Mention. I have a solid 3.3 GPA, but I know that there is always room for improvement. I'm striving to keep my GPA steady and increase it during my senior year.
Between my father, who is an avid golfer, my private coach and my high school coach, I have learned a great deal about the game. In addition to technique, golf etiquette is very important part of my game. I won the sportsmanship award in my conference, and I take pride in showing respect to my competition and my teammates.
I would like to attend a college where my golf game can reach its full potential. I plan to push myself to be the best student-athlete I can possibly be. I am open to many colleges where I can play golf at the highest level possible and get a great education.
