The summer before my freshman year in high school I discovered my love for the sport of golf and since then it has become my passion. During my Freshman year at Francis Howell North, I made the Knights varsity golf team where I completed the season at the top position on the team and finished with an Honorable Mention award in the Gateway South Conference. I am a straight A student and I am extremely proud to be a part of my Knights golf team.
In addition, I have competed in 7 Gateway Junior PGA tournaments where I have earned a 5th place finish, two 4th place finishes and a 2nd place finish. My goals this spring are to perform to the best of my ability for my high school, compete in the Missouri State High School Championships and to qualify to play in several AJGA events this summer.
Golf has taught me a new level of focus and that the more I put into it, the greater the returns. I have dedicated myself to work hard on my mechanics and to always strive to improve my game through daily study and practice. Furthermore, I work at Meadowbrook Country Club as a caddie which keeps me involved and always learning more about golf. In my first summer there, I recorded the most loops of all of the caddie’s employed, both through member requests and also by my determination to get the most out of my position.
I appreciate and respect my competition, the challenges of every tournament, and of course, the game itself. I have been playing competitive sports since I was six years old and I am excited for the chance to play golf at the collegiate level where I’m confident in my ability to be an asset to your program.
