My name is Jack Breutsch, I am a 2022 All New York State golfer as well as a 2021 and 2022 Newsday first team All Long Island. I am a two-time All-County golfer, as well as a three-time Suffolk County Conference Champion. In 2020 I was awarded the Met PGA player’s tour Player of the Year. More recently I won the 2022 MET PGA JR. New York City Championship at Pelham G.C.
I was introduced to the game of golf at the age of 6 by my parents and grandfather who was a teaching professional. My mother being an educator has given me the drive to succeed in my academic endeavors as well as my older sister who is currently on an academic scholarship at Rollins College in Florida. My dad who was a division 1 baseball player in college at Northwestern State University has taught me the value of discipline and integrity.
Along with playing golf I value my academic achievements and I am determined to continue to excel in the classroom through high school and college. I am a member of the National Honor Society and hold a 4.0 GPA. I am a class officer and a Dean’s List member every semester of my High School career.
I believe one of my positive attributes is my leadership in the classroom and on the course. Showing respect for the game of golf, my coach , my teammates, my teachers, my parents and everyone I come into contact with is the most important thing to me and I am confident the game of golf is making me a better person in the game of life.
Sincerely,
Jack Breutsch
