Personal Statement
I am the person I am today from the support and influence of my family. Without them I would not be in the same position I am in right now. I first became interested in golf when my father introduced me to it and brought me out to the range to hit some balls. Right that instant, I fell in love with the sport and never turned back. I have learned so much from playing golf whether it be my mental state and how I can improve or the different situations a round of golf can put me in.
My academic goals for High School is to keep improving my averages to show that I am progressing rather than regressing. For college I would like to find a major that best suits my preference in an athletics field such as sports management, etc. But if there is a major outside of athletics that I fall in love with then I will gladly study that.
My goal for my recruitment process is to land a school in which I can learn and fine tune my skills on the golf course with the help of the coaching staff. An environment where I can better myself daily and consistently learn more about the game is preferred above all else.
I have had many obstacles to overcome in my life from all different aspects. I have had to face different personal issues to get past in order for me to get better at what I am doing. Golf was never a "normal" sport to kids around me so playing this sport and being able to keep my head high while practicing everyday and sacrificing a normal teenage life was very difficult. But I believe overcoming these obstacles were vital in making me the golfer I am today; one who never quits no matter how tough things get.
