2023 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I'm a 3 sport, varsity athlete in golf, basketball (point guard), and baseball (LH pitcher, center fielder, switch-hitter). When I graduate in May 2023, I will have earned 11 varsity letters. I love competition and can't help but do what it takes to get better. I'm at every practice for every sport. I'm never late and I'm usually the last one to leave.
I have a hard time bragging about my accomplishments. I'm more of a quiet, confident in myself, show it on the course, kind of guy. But I am proud of where I am and all the things I've done to get here. More importantly, I'm excited about the things I'll accomplish in the future. My ultimate goal is to play professional golf. My favorite golfers are Henrik Stenson and Kevin Kisner. I like Henrik because he's so skilled and he's Swedish (Sweden is a cool place) and I like Kis because he seems like a great guy, really down to earth.
I'm a member of the National Honor Society and currently have a 3.66 GPA while taking enriched and college level courses. I do well in school but I excel in sports.
I know there are a lot of high school golfers who just golf. That's where they focus all their time and energy. They excel at it and they should because that's all they do. But I'm here to tell you that I excel at golf, too. I have great course management, solid distance off the tee, the ability to read greens well, and maybe the most important, a solid mental composure on the course. When I'm on your golf team next year, that's the only sport I'll play and I will only get better!
Over the last two summers, I've participated in multiple tournaments and had the chance to play on some great, challenging courses in Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee and Florida. I can't wait to get the chance to play on even more courses around the country.
