Alex Plummer '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alex Plummer, and I attend Oregon Connections Academy, an online public school. By my age, I am supposed to graduate in June 2020, but because I am academically advanced I am graduating in June 2019. Being ahead led me to playing high school golf for my local high school, Willamette, as an 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th grader by age. This year, I qualified for state as an individual and finished 18th in the tournament. I feel that is important for me to start college golf when I am the age of a typical college freshman, so I will be taking a gap year before beginning college. In my gap year, I will focus on lowering my scores and getting my overall game ready for the collegiate level. I will also continue to volunteer with the First Tee organization, which I have been for six years, as well as finishing my work on becoming an Eagle Scout.
