Hello, my name is Dane Woodcook and I’m a catcher from Eugene, OR. The summer between my 7th and 8th grade year, I made our high schools varsity summer team and continued to play with them the summer going into freshman year as well. I lettered in baseball and soccer my freshman year while also playing on the freshman basketball team. After lettering my first two years in soccer, I transitioned to football earning a varsity letter my junior year while obtaining the starting quarterback job. I also lettered 3 years in baseball. I was blessed to receive 2nd team all-conference catcher my freshmen year. Not resting on my God given athletic ability, I take pride in being the first one to the yard and the last one to leave. I do believe that one my best traits is my leadership ability and being able to help lead my fellow teammates to be the best they can be. My favorite part about the game of baseball is the ability to be able to learn every single day you’re at the yard. I love playing the game, but studying it and being a student of the game is what has driven me to have the success that I’ve had so far. I was grateful to have great coaching growing up and having great coaching in my high school career so far! Can’t wait to see what opportunities come up next.
