2021 Spotlight Personal Statement
My mission is to become a collegiate golfer at a competitive university to better develop my skill set beyond college golf. Prioritizing my golf schedule to maximize personal development has been my number one goal these past eight months where I have dramatically improved my handicap from a 6.5 to a 1.1. My continuous hard work and dedication throughout high school has prepared me to be a strong contributor and leader for an elite golf program.
I am a 2022 athlete at Tigard High School in Oregon, where I have been a contributing member of the varsity golf team for the past two years. Outside of school and golf, I am a Young Life Student Leader in my school district as a mentor to underclassmen and volunteer for Work Crew camp staff multiple times a year.
I value academics, a strong work ethic and striving to become a better leader. My outgoing nature and positive personality help make me a valuable candidate for a future college roster.
