Kyle Horrell '11 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Kyle Horrell. I am 6'0'' and I weigh 180 lbs. I have been playing golf for 3 years. I have also played football, baseball, track, and basketball at a middle school and high school level. My most important accomplishment is my first place finish at the Buffalo Open. I won my 15-16 age group and I won overall first place by 4 strokes. In my second time ever playing the course, I shot a 2-over-par 74. I have great leadership skills and I am always the first one to the practice tee and the last one to leave. It's my dream to work my way up to higher levels of golfing competition. I want to go to school anywhere with a mild climate all year round so that I can golf for more than 9 months a year. I do not mind the size of the college or division level, I just have a passion to play. My family applies for the FAFSA. My desired major is Professional Golf Management. I am willing to be in college as long as it takes. I want to take competitive golf as far as I possibly can and make an impact in the golfing world. Even if I do not play for or meet the standards to play golf on a college level, I would still be at a local country club 7 days a week trying to improve my game. I started playing golf in the spring of 8th grade. I made the varsity team by fall on a Quad A level. My handicap has gone from a 3 in November, to a 0.5 in July. I play in handicap events where net scores are taken so I promise the handicap is no fake. I am looking for an opportunity; any opportunity to do anything spectacular with my life.
