2022 SpotlightPersonal Statement
My name is Devyn Sutton and my passion is golf. I have been golfing since I was old enough to walk. My grandfather played golf, my great uncle had his pro card, and a cousin that played on women’s college team in Florida. I began my training with the first tee of the triad when I was eligible.
I have place 1st in the region for 4A High School upper SC and 9th in state as a sophomore. I also play many individual tournaments with NJGA, SCJGA, and CGA leagues.
Academic's is also very important to me. I was in the DUKE TIP gifted program where I took the ACT in 6th grade with an above average score for most high schoolers. I also was a finalist Science Fair competition at Appalachian State University. I was also a member of the NC all-district band in 8th grade.
My goal is to continue my golf career at the collegiate level whiles studying to become a Sports Chiropractor.
