I come from a family of college athletes, and growing up, it was only a matter of which sport I would want to play in college! The funny thing was, I never dreamed that it would be golf. After playing multiple sports, being defensive in every sport I played, a catcher, a linebacker, and a guard....I found golf and knew this was were I wanted to focus. I get to control my game game each time I walk on the course. Maybe not the elements that exist on a given day, but I do get to make the critical decisions, that drive my game, my club choice, my score card, and the outcome on my card. It my be surprising, I have only been playing golf for about 3 years. When I committed to my golf game, it came easy both mentally and physically. Along with being a stellar student in the classroom, I enjoy extra curricular activities that give back to my school and community. My work ethic, support from my family and private coach, help me continue to shave points off each round, and enjoy tournament play.
Off the course, I hold over a 4.0 average while taking AP and Pre AP classes in all subjects. I have served as the Student Council President in my middle school with over 1500 student, National Junior Honor Society, National English Honor Society, a core member of our No Place for Hate Club, and a leader for our school (FCA) Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Outside of school, I volunteer at a local hospital every Friday each summer for 4 hours, am an active member in my church youth group, along with supporting my twin sister in her competitive sports. My family and my faith keep me grounded and keep me reaching for my goals. Golf is my passion, my happy place, and where I find relaxation when I am stressed.
I am fully committed to working my hardest to get to the collegiate level. I will push myself to becoming a better golfer, a better person, and a contributing member to your golf team. I thrive on being coached, and use the coaching to get better, work harder, and have a "Never Quit" attitude.
