I started playing golf at two years old, but it wasn’t until my freshman year that I realized golf was what I really loved. I left basketball to solely focus on golf at the start of my Sophomore year. I went from shooting rounds in the 90’s to averaging 2 over par and making Varsity as a Sophomore. I am committed to working hard and I have been lifting weights 6-7 times a week for the past two years. I have also dedicated a minimum of 3 hours each day for 6 days a week to the course or range in order to work on improving my skills, all while maintaining a 3.96 gpa in school. A key strength of mine is my mental game, not only in golf but in other areas of my life, because I am able to maintain a level head and positive attitude. I hope to continue my golf career into college where I will strive to maintain my grades but also work diligently each day to refine my golf skills and support my teammates.
