I am currently a Sophomore playing golf for Weatherford College. Due to a health issue I faced last spring I was granted a medical redshirt so am able to return to Weatherford College in 2023-2024. I have qualified to play all of our tournaments this year and prior to my medical issue I played in several tournaments last school year and won the Las Vegas Shootout in February 2022. I am looking for a college/university where I can continue playing collegiate golf and obtain my Bachelor's degree in Business.
I have been competing in golf tournaments since I was 7 years old. I won several Arklatex Junior Tour tournaments and championships. I also won many NTPGA East Area tournaments and championships throughout my years of playing. I also played in numerous TJGT and AJGA tournaments and finished in the top 3 several times. I played varsity golf at New Diana my Freshman year and we won 1st in our District, 3rd in Regionals and 3rd in the Texas State 3A Championship. My Sophomore year, I won 1st in our District, and our team won 1st place. In Regionals our team won 3rd place and I was 4th individually. In the Texas State 3A Championship our team finished in 6th place and I placed 12th in the state. My Senior year I won 1st in our District and our team advanced to the Texas State 3A Championship where we finished in 3rd place.
Other accomplishments I have in golf is I was a member of The First Tee of the Piney Woods for 8 years. I worked my way up to Eagle and was a mentor to the Pee Wee, Player, Par and Birdie students for the over 2 years. As much as I love playing golf I had more fun as a mentor. Helping those little kids learn how to hold a club, grip a putter and swing the club was very rewarding and more fun than I ever imagined. I was selected to attend the Joe Barris Leadership Academy in Boise, Idaho in July 2019.
My ultimate goal has always been to play college golf and have been so blessed to play at Weatherford College. I hope to continue this journey I'm on and am not limiting myself to any particular area.
Outside of golf I enjoy deer and duck hunting.
