I started playing golf competitively at the end of my 8th grade year and have been rapidly improving ever since. Over the past several years, I have worked hard to develop a consistent and reliable golf swing. I am dedicated to reach my full potential and am confident that I will continue to improve over the next several years. During high school, I have been committed to excelling as a student and golfer. While I am proud of my success in junior golf, my goal is to contribute at the next level in a successful college golf program. I am ready and willing to put in the work to achieve this goal.
The Stratford golf program is a great program and I am fortunate to be a part of it. Our team made it to state in 2016, regionals in 2017 and have the potential to make state again in 2018. In my sophomore year, making it to the Texas State Championship was a great learning experience. However, I also learned important lesson my junior year when our team failed to make it out of regionals. We missed state by only five shots, both of these experiences taught me about what it means to play as part of a team. Over the last three years I have learned about leadership as co-captain of my team, being a team player, and the benefit of hard work. These are all traits that will help me make a positive impact on your program. I know that my drive to get better and compete, the lessons I learned as a team captain, and as a three-year varsity golfer will enable me to make a significant contribution to the success of your program.
