Marco Punzo '19 Recruiting Profile

My Name is Marco Anthony Punzo I'm 16 years old and I live in Prosper,Texas. I am originally from Chicago, Illinois. In Chicago I started competitive golf at 3 years old. I've competed in world wide events such as Pepsi Little People in Quincy,Illinois. My best finish was 5th place out of 52 kids from all around the world. Ever since I was 3 years old I've dreamed of playing golf at the highest level possible, over the past 13 years I've learned a lot about myself, on and off the golf course. I learned dedication and hard work will get you far at a young age, this has helped me mature as a golfer and as a person over the years. I am looking for a college that will give me the education that I desire while also helping me grow as a golfer by playing the best of the best. Golf is a individual sport, but in the college and High School setting we have teammates, and I treat my teammates and coach like family. This has helped me gain success in high school golf and has promoted me to be team captain as a sophomore. Also, I have been on Prosper High Schools Varsity's Top 5 since my freshman year of high school.I demand a lot from my teammates but I demand even more from myself, I will never ask a teammate to do something that I wouldn't do myself. This I believe is one of my more valuable traits as a recruit, along with my work ethic and my never satisfied attitude. I believe that the difference between good and great, is that great is never satisfied with their performance, they always want more from themselves.
