I have grown up working on our cotton farms and helping raise cattle. This has taught me a good work ethic, patience, and responsibility. My love for golf started at about age 3. I love the game because it is challenging and makes me push myself both physically and mentally. I am very competitive and enjoy the challenge of bettering my golf game.
While I excelled in basketball and baseball through the years, golf has always been my passion. I have enjoyed playing in Jr. PGA and local tournaments. As a freshman, I tied for 3rd at our regional tournament. I lost after a 3 hole playoff and missed out on going to state. This disappointment motivated me to persevere and work harder to achieve my goals. As a sophomore, I decided to forego playing other sports to concentrate on golf and Ag. I am a FFA officer and show steers. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA while taking honors and dual credit classes. I plan to continue my education at a college where I can major in agriculture and play golf.
